Are you a Salesforce-savvy developer ready to make a difference in government services?! We have two positions available!

We’re offering a unique 6-month opportunity to join a collaborative team driving digital transformation as a Software Developer for our business unit, Information and Technology Partners (ITP). You’ll play a vital role in supporting and developing business applications using Salesforce technologies for the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) and its partner agencies.

ITP is hosted by the DPI and delivers information technology and information management services to 7 government agencies. Our purpose is to provide effective and innovative services as a trusted, strategic partner distributing smart, secure and seamless solutions. We connect people, processes, information and technology to deliver better outcomes for Queensland.

The opportunity

As our Software Developer you will build, maintain, enhance and test Salesforce applications aligned with departmental standards and architecture whilst ensuring the applications meet performance benchmarks and service level agreements. You will apply problem-solving strategies to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement effective solutions.

You Will Also Be Responsible To
  • Provide insights on service requests and enhancements, balancing feasibility and design.
  • Play an active role in incident, change, and release management processes across a diverse portfolio of applications.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining an awareness of emerging ICT technologies to meet evolving organisational needs.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to team growth and innovation.
  • Maintain system documentation to support best-practice operations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture, where ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity are valued.
What We Are Looking For(qualifications, Registrations, Experience)

We are looking for a passionate individual who can understand the delivery across Salesforce-based solutions and is competent across Salesforce:

  • platform capabilities
  • configuration, customisation and development patterns and tools
  • data modelling and management
  • DevOps practices including version control and CI/CD.
The Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
  • Knowledge across the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience with adherence to standards and timeframes.
  • Experience in Agile project delivery methodologies. Desirable
  • Salesforce certifications or tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline. Desirable
