One Door Mental Health is seeking a Social Worker for a 6-month full-time fixed-term role in the Canterbury area. Working in a multidisciplinary team, you will conduct intake, risk assessments, brief interventions, case management and collaborate with stakeholders to support recovery.

You will join a service moving to a larger centre, with flexibility to cover weekend and afternoon shifts, and a focus on Open Dialogue and high‑quality care for adults seeking timely mental health support.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work with current registration (AASW).
• Recovery-based approach to mental health care.
• Experience in clinical assessments and evidence-based interventions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Provide intake, risk assessments, brief interventions and case management.
• Deliver a range of short-term clinical interventions.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve access to primary mental health care.
• Provide care coordination and advocacy for clients.
• Apply professional judgement and adapt practice based on evidence.
• Empower individuals to achieve goals and improve quality of life.
