Job summary

Queensland Health in Central West Queensland is seeking a Senior Social Worker to provide clinical and professional leadership within the Central West Hospital and Health Service. You will collaborate with clinicians to deliver accessible mental health services across the region and contribute to staff education, research and professional development.

The role requires adherence to occupational health and safety standards, equity and ethical practices, with opportunities to supervise and support

Responsibilities

• Provide high level clinical and professional leadership in partnership with the team leader and other clinicians with the Central West Hospital and Health Service to deliver a range of mental health services which is appropriate, acceptable and accessible to the Central West.
• Identify and implement practice-based research and participate in staff education and development activities.
• Comply with contemporary human resource practices including occupational health and safety, employment equity, antidiscrimination and ethical behaviour.
• Undertake personal education, professional development and professional supervision.
