Job summary

South Western Sydney Local Health District at Liverpool Hospital is seeking a Senior Social Worker to deliver compassionate, high-quality social work services within a dynamic clinical setting. You will support patients and families through complex health experiences, working in a fast-paced environment with a strong emphasis on holistic, patient-centred care.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, provide clinical supervision and evidence-based practice, and contribute to quality

Qualifications

  • Must hold a recognised Social Work degree with AASW eligibility.
  • Post-graduate health social work experience required.

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week

Remuneration: $121,568.00 - $125,507.00 per annum+ 12% Superannuation + Salary Packaging

Are You the Right Fit?

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Social Worker who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary health environment. You will bring extensive health experience, advanced clinical expertise and strong professional judgement to support patients, families and colleagues within a complex healthcare setting.

  • Must hold a recognised Social Work degree that provides eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Must have extensive post-graduate experience working as a Social Worker in health, including a demonstrated understanding of complex health conditions and their impact on wellbeing.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision and expert advice/consultation to the social work service.
  • Must demonstrate experience in prioritising a challenging and demanding workload, managing stressful situations, and applying advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature.
  • Must demonstrate experience in planning, implementing and evaluating quality improvement activities involving the application of evidence-based practice within social work.
  • Show strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and manage challenging or high-pressure situations.
  • Work effectively both independently and collaboratively, contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be willing to be part of an on-call roster.
