Job summary

Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service is seeking a qualified social worker to deliver evidence-based psychosocial support to patients and families within a multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to education, quality improvement and development of the Social Work service.

The role supports professional growth, with supervision and opportunities to mentor students and less experienced social workers, while managing a diverse caseload in an Australian public health setting.

Qualifications

• You have a Social Work degree and are eligible for AASW membership.
• Able to manage workload autonomously and collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication skills to advocate for patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based social work to patients and families.

About you

• You have a Social Work degree and are eligible for AASW membership. Newly qualified applicants awaiting conferral or registration are welcome to apply.
• Understand social work practice, social systems, legislation and policy, with the confidence to manage your workload and work autonomously.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, build relationships and confidently advocate for patients and families.
• Keen to learn, contribute to research and professional development, improve services and help develop the next generation of social workers.

What we offer

Total remuneration value of up to $132,567 p.a. is comprised of:

• An hourly rate between $43.97 - $58.59 p.h.
• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
• 17.5% leave loading
