Job summary

Fairbridge College is seeking a dedicated Social Worker/Counsellor to join our Pinjarra and Kalgoorlie campus wellbeing teams. You will manage caseloads and provide holistic social and behavioural support, collaborating with staff, families and external providers to advocate for students’ needs.

Based in Pinjarra with at least one week per four at Kalgoorlie, you will contribute to intervention planning, reporting and program development to support learning and wellbeing across both campuses.

Responsibilities

• Develop strong, respectful relationships with students, staff and families.
• Collaborate with wellbeing team, school staff and external providers to support assessment and interventions.
• Identify students needing additional educational, wellbeing and social support.
• Provide case management and direct support through individual consultations and group sessions.
• Prepare and maintain assessments, case notes and reports to support funding applications.
• Advocate for students’ needs and ensure access to resources and support services.
• Monitor funded student programs and contribute to reporting on outcomes and effectiveness.
• Assist in developing and implementing intervention plans and support school wellbeing.
• Participate in professional development to stay current with best practices.

Your Role

As a Social Worker / Counsellor at Fairbridge College, you will be an integral part of our student support team, working closely with the wellbeing team to manage caseloads and provide comprehensive social and behavioural support services. Your focus will be on enhancing the well‑being of our students through holistic solutions, advocacy, and coordination of services, ensuring each student receives the support they need to succeed in their educational journey. You will be required to work across both campuses, based in Pinjarra you will be required to spend at least one week out of every four at the Kalgoorlie campus.

Key Responsibilities
