Job summary

South West Healthcare's Macarthur Community Health Centre is seeking a part-time Social Support Group Assistant to support older adults and disabled participants.

You will help plan and deliver engaging activities, work with a multidisciplinary team, and promote social inclusion while upholding confidentiality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Enrolled Nursing, or a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Lifestyle and Leisure.
• Experience in aged care and/or activity-based programs highly regarded.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver engaging activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the Social Support Group (SSG) Assistant by delivering meaningful activities for older adults and people with disabilities.
• Collaborate with the SSG team to tailor activities to participant needs and goals.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment while maintaining confidentiality.

• Salary Range: $59,282.60 - $65,042.120 pro rata, plus superannuation

South West Healthcare's Macarthur Community Health Centre is seeking an experienced Social Support Group (SSG) Assistant to join our dedicated team in a part-time role, supporting the well-being of older adults and individuals with disabilities.

As part of the Macarthur SSG program, you'll help deliver meaningful activities that focus on participants' strengths, encouraging social integration and promoting a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable environment. You'll collaborate with the SSG team to provide exceptional care, ensuring the program meets the unique needs and goals of its participants.

What you bring

• A strong commitment to maintaining professional confidentiality and providing a high standard of customer-focused care
• Relevant qualifications in Allied Health, Enrolled Nursing, or a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Lifestyle and Leisure, with experience in aged care and/or activity-based programs highly regarded
• Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and deliver engaging and innovative activities tailored to the needs and interests of diverse client groups
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• A Safe Food Handling Certificate, a current Victorian Driver Licence, and a willingness to obtain a Light Rigid (LR) endorsed licence
