Akcelo Australia is seeking a Social Content Lead to craft social-first content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. You will drive ideas, produce engaging video and copy, and analyse performance to inform improvements.

You will collaborate with creatives, strategists and clients to ensure brand voice, cultural relevance and timely content across channels.

Akcelo is an independent Brand Experience agency delivering powerful brand experiences that people love. We fuse creativity with experience design to solve business problems and generate white-space opportunities for the likes of McDonald’s, PepsiCo, Mondelez and TikTok.

We are seeking a creative Social Content Lead who can tell a story in under 60 seconds to join our team on the most exciting social accounts in Australia. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ideating, developing and producing social-first content and analysing performance to suggest improvements.

As a creative expert, you’ll have the ability to articulate an idea simply, explain how and why it works with the audience, and ensure it’s platform-native.

Our Social Content Lead will blend strategy & creativity to craft posts that engage and resonate with audiences across multiple social platforms, including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, & TikTok. You will be on the forefront of internet culture, with a deep understanding of social trends, ready to push any content opportunities the moment something happens online.

You live and breathe social media and know about format changes, shifts in channel behaviours and trends before they hit the For You page. You can capture both high-quality and lo-fi original content that aligns with campaign objectives and brand voice.

• Client Engagement – Working closely with our clients to understand their needs and ideating content to help address them.
• Social-First Leadership – Drive impromptu content opportunities over key cultural moments, and provide recommendations on implementation of campaign assets.
• Calendar Management – Oversee the content pipeline and trafficking for our clients, providing insight into placement and frequency while managing brand priorities.
• Content Creation – Craft and produce visually engaging video, images and copy that aligns with the broader social and campaign strategies.
• Cultural Relevance – You understand what moves culture, how to track moments as they gain viral traction and when a brand has a right to contribute to them.
• Engaging Insights – Real-time performance tracking of content, providing learnings and areas for improvement.
• Work collaboratively with creatives, strategists, social folk and clients to deliver best practise recommendations on format, length, and visual identity

To be in the running for this great role, you should have:

• 5-7+ years of experience working in content production, either from an agency background or client direct.
• Confident communication skills to energetically engage internal and external stakeholders and articulate your thoughts
• A deep understanding of social formats, strategy and technology
• Experience working alongside creatives, strategists and producers to make work that pushes boundaries
• A passion for subcultures and the want to teach people on your own personal insights
• Strong written skills & attention to detail
• Comfortability working under a sense of urgency, context switching and being resourceful and proactive
• The willingness to grow with and alongside the business
• An open attitude and excited by change... you are a problem solver
• The passion to champion your team within the agency
