Job summary

Saul Recruitment is seeking a SOC Analyst (Level 1-3) in Sydney to join a leading cyber security provider. Work in a 24/7 SOC alongside experienced professionals, with hybrid WFH options and ongoing training for career progression.

You will monitor events, investigate alerts, respond to incidents, and contribute to threat hunting and automation across enterprise clients using a modern security stack.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and best practices
• Experience investigating security alerts and incidents
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for cyber security
• Relevant certifications (Security+, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or equivalent) highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Monitor security events across client environments
• Investigate alerts and identify genuine incidents
• Respond to incidents and coordinate remediation activities
• Perform threat hunting and proactive monitoring (L2 & L3)
• Conduct malware analysis and forensic investigations
• Escalate incidents when needed
• Work with clients during security events
• Develop and improve SOC processes and documentation
• Contribute to security automation initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with cyber threats and attack techniques

What You'll Be Doing:

• Monitoring security events across multiple client environments
• Investigating alerts and identifying genuine security incidents
• Responding to cyber security incidents and coordinating remediation activities
• Performing threat hunting and proactive security monitoring (Level 2 & 3)
• Conducting malware analysis and forensic investigations (Level 3)
• Escalating incidents where appropriate
• Working closely with clients during security events
• Developing and improving SOC processes and documentation
• Contributing to security automation initiatives
• Keeping up to date with the latest cyber threats and attack techniques

What You'll Bring:

• Experience working in a Security Operations Centre (Level dependent)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and best practices
• Experience investigating security alerts and incidents
• Excellent communication skills
• A genuine passion for cyber security
• Relevant certifications are highly regarded (Security+, CySA+, SC-200, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or similar)
