Job summary

Talent in Sydney seeks a Senior Business Analyst with deep Agile experience and practical exposure to AI-assisted software delivery. You will collaborate with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers and Testers to review current practices and design workflows that embed AI agent execution.

The role emphasizes improving how requirements are written, handed over, tested and traced through to implementation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as Senior BA or Systems BA in enterprise Agile environments.
• Strong As-Is/To-Be process mapping and value stream mapping.
• Hands-on familiarity with agentic development tools (Claude Code, SpecKit, Atlassian Rovo, GitHub Copilot).
• Understanding of spec-driven delivery, prompt design, and LLM context limits.
• Experience defining detailed requirements, acceptance criteria and traceability.

Responsibilities

• Map current squad processes, identify delivery bottlenecks and design improved workflows that incorporate AI agent execution.
• Establish standards for structured, machine-readable requirements and specification files (e.g., Spec.md).
• Break down business requirements into clearly defined tasks with BDD/Gherkin scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Maintain traceability between business objectives, specs, unit tests and PR validation checks.
• Define validation checkpoints and scenario matrices to identify missing requirements or incorrect AI-generated logic before implementation.
• Collaborate with technical leads to ensure alignment with API contracts, architecture decisions and quality standards.
• Support pilot squads on new applications and existing systems.
• Measure improvements in hand-off times, spec accuracy and clarification needs during sprints.
• Develop reusable templates and contribute to a central Agentic Centre of Excellence.

You’ll work with Product Owners, Solution Architects, Developers, Testers to review current delivery practices and design workflows that incorporate AI agents. This includes improving how requirements are written, handed over, tested and traced through to implementation.

Responsibilities

Map current squad processes, identify delivery bottlenecks and design improved workflows that incorporate AI agent execution.

Establish standards for structured, machine-readable requirements and specification files, including Spec.md.

Break down business requirements into clearly defined tasks, supported by BDD/Gherkin scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Maintain traceability between business objectives, specifications, unit tests and pull request validation checks.

Define validation checkpoints and scenario matrices to identify missing requirements or incorrect AI-generated logic before implementation.

Work with technical leads to ensure delivery remains aligned with API contracts, architecture decisions and quality standards.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in enterprise Agile environments.

Strong As-Is/To-Be process mapping, value stream mapping and BDD/Gherkin skills.

Hands-on familiarity with agentic development tools such as Claude Code, SpecKit, Atlassian Rovo or GitHub Copilot.

An understanding of spec-driven delivery, prompt design, LLM context limitations and task decomposition.

Experience defining detailed requirements, acceptance criteria and requirements traceability.

The ability to work confidently with business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business objectives into clear engineering requirements.
