The Role

As an SMSF Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role within our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Associate Director. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of two accountants, managing a ledger comprising approximately 200 SMSFs, and maintaining seamless communication with external auditors. This position is client-facing, requiring you to develop and nurture a strong relationship with our clientele. Additionally, you will provide essential technical advice to support the broader team.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor a team of two accountants to deliver SMSF accounting services.
  • Manage a ledger with approximately 200 SMSFs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain communication with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships.
  • Provide technical advice and support to the broader team.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience as an SMSF specialist or SMSF focus in a broader business services role.
  • Proficiency in completing and reviewing SMSF accounts and tax returns to a high standard for director sign-off.
  • Experience using BGL360 software.
  • CA and SPAA qualifications preferred.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
