Job summary

Pro Pac is seeking experienced Slitters for the Dandenong South site in Melbourne. The role covers Day, Afternoon and Night shifts, focusing on rewind production, supervision of Assistants and strict adherence to FSC22000 and ISO standards.

You will manage quality from raw materials to finished goods, drive waste reductions, and implement customer-specific quality requirements while maintaining a safe, efficient work area.

Qualifications

• Previous Slitting experience essential.
• Experience within the packaging industry highly regarded.
• Technical aptitude.
• Strong practical skills and machinery knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality rewind as per the Job Ticket.
• Supervise assigned Assistants ensuring compliance with FSC22000 and ISO processes.
• Maintain HACCP and ISO policies for a clean, safe work area.
• Ensure smooth handover to the next shift.
• Report equipment faults and assist in fault resolution.
• Manage processes to reduce quality issues from raw material to finished goods.
• Implement customer-specific quality requirements.
• Investigate and report waste percentages and process improvements.
• Follow safety and procedural instructions from senior management.
• Pursue continuous process improvement.

Job Description

Opportunities have become available on Day, Afternoon and Night Shift for experienced Slitters to join our Dandenong South site working on a diverse range of tasks in the process of print production, operating some of the most innovative equipment available.

Your role will include

• Producing high-quality rewind as per the instruction provided via the Job Ticket.
• Supervise and instruct the assigned Assistants ensuring they understand and follow FSC22000 and ISO processes
• Manage the continued implementation of the HACCP and ISO policies which specifically include a clean, tidy, and safe work area
• Ensure a smooth handover to the next shift
• Report any equipment faults/breakdowns and assist where possible in the resolution of said faults/breakdowns
• Manage systems and process to reduce quality issues from raw material through to finished goods
• Implement customer-specific quality requirements.
• Investigate and report on waste %’s as well as process improvements to reduce waste.
• Following any work, safety or procedural instructions from senior management
• Continuous process improvement

Qualifications

• Previous Slitting experience is essential.
• Experience within the packaging industry will be highly regarded
