Job summary

Sleepscope, part of Scope Healthcare, is seeking a Medical Technician in Melbourne to perform lung function tests and prepare patients for home sleep studies. You will work hands-on with a patient-facing approach, ensuring accurate data and smooth operation of sleep-study equipment.

Ideal candidates will have study in science/health, strong communication, and comfort with HealthTrack and data entry. A current driver’s licence and working rights in Australia are required, with police and Working

Qualifications

• Study in science, health or a related field.
• Clear communication with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Confidence with computers and data entry, including HealthTrack.
• A current driver’s licence for multi-clinic work.
• Full working rights in Australia.
• A Working with Children Check and police check before you start.

Responsibilities

• Perform lung function tests following ANZSRS standards.
• Set patients up for home sleep studies and explain usage.
• Prepare patients for tests and answer questions beforehand.
• Enter results and patient details in HealthTrack with privacy in mind.
• Maintain and calibrate testing and sleep equipment for each patient.
• Collaborate with scientists and clinic team to flag unusual results.
