Job summary

Main Square Constructions in Sydney is seeking a reliable Carpenter to join our team, focusing on residential projects as a home builder. You will interpret drawings, prepare materials, cut and fit timber components, and build structures on-site with attention to safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with framing, roof systems, doors and windows, and experience in concrete formwork is a plus. This full-time position is based on-site in Western Sydney and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Study drawings and specifications to determine materials and installation methods.
• Order and select timber and other materials and plan layouts.
• Cut materials, assemble and nail cut parts.
• Erect frameworks, panellised systems, and roof framing; lay sub-flooring and floors.
• Install fascia panels, roof sheathing, exterior wall cladding; fit doors/windows.
• Assemble prepared wood structures for installation.
• Cut wood joints.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings/specs to identify materials and dimensions.
• Order timber and other materials; prepare project layouts.
• Cut, assemble and nail components accurately.
• Construct frameworks, panellised systems and roof framing; install sub-flooring.
• Install fascia, sheathing, exterior cladding; fit doors and windows.
• Assemble structures and fittings on-site.
• Cut wood joints to required tolerances.
