Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking a Site Manager to lead construction projects in Brisbane, with travel to Cairns and Townsville as needed. You will review designs, plan and coordinate activities, supervise subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety standards are met on site.

The role requires a tertiary engineering qualification and extensive brown-field project experience, with strong leadership and coordination skills to drive successful outcomes across Queensland.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent.
  • 10 years of brown-field contracts experience including retrofit/upgrade.
  • Experience in security or controls systems.
  • Knowledge of design, project and quality management; supervision of sub-contractors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sub-contractors and on-site teams.
  • Maintain customer satisfaction on site.
  • Ensure project delivery within scope, time, quality and schedule.
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment.

A Site Manager assists in completing construction projects by reviewing design, planning, organizing, and controlling projects; completing quality inspections; supervising sub-contractors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing the sub-contractors
  • Managing customer satisfaction onsite
  • Ensure to achieve the required construction result within the scope time, quality and schedule
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations
  • Review Honeywell Issue for construction documentation together with Consultants & Project Design documents for compliance with Specification, buildability and commission ability
  • Security and access management onsite
Key Experience & Capabilities
  • Preferably Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, trade background.
  • 10 years related industry experience in Brown field contracts doing retrofit and upgrade
  • Experience in Security or controls
  • Knowledge in Design Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Supervision, Managing schedule, managing sub-contractors
  • Highly proficient in all the key areas of onsite management
  • Construction/site supervision of Controls, Mechanical or Electrical personnel
  • Good team building skills and experience in leading and managing the day-to-day activities onsite
  • Professional and responsible with clients, employees, subcontractors and management
  • Experience in time and resource management, including HSE and sub-contractor management
  • Excellent verbal/written/presentation skills
  • Ability to work and prosper in a flexible dynamic team environment
  • Ability to travel around Queensland
