Job summary

TikTok is seeking graduates to join the Video and Edge Global Engineering team in Sydney, Australia. You will help build a robust global infrastructure for video on demand and live streaming that serves billions of users worldwide.

As a graduate, you will collaborate across teams to design, implement, and operate scalable systems, participate in monitoring and automation, and contribute to ongoing improvements while growing in a fast-paced, international environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in at least one of C, C++, Java, Python.
• Knowledge of networking, OS, databases and container technology.
• Experience with microservice architectures and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.

About the Team The Video and Edge Global Engineering team is responsible for business facing experience and cost of the Video on Demand and Live Streaming platform. We build a robust video transmission network and multimedia processing platform, building data foundation and analysis capabilities, driving product refined operation, reducing costs and increasing efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Upcoming graduates or have graduated strictly within the last 12 months before onboarding in 2026
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical background involving software/system engineering, or equivalent working experience.
• Good programming experience with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, Python, or

Go.

• Knowledge of networking, operation system, database system and container technology.
• Good understanding of microservice architecture, and an understanding in troubleshooting in large scale distributed systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands on experience in common open-source system such as Linux, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis and ELK.
• Experience in building solutions with AWS, GCP, Azures and other cloud services
• Working in international teams and across timezones effectively (US, Dublin, China, Singapore)
• Passionate, self-motivated and good teamwork skills.
