Job summary

BL Welding and Fabrication is seeking a dedicated Site Labourer to join our Miles, QLD team on a full-time basis. The role supports onsite install operations and will travel weekly to sites across Queensland and northern NSW, focusing on shade sail system installs while assisting the shed crew when required.

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced tradespeople, maintain safety standards, and contribute to project completion from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas and mark out footings.
• Pre-assembly of ground components and prep for concrete.
• Concreting of footings and piers.
• General site maintenance and housekeeping.
• Stand of structural members and frames with machinery.
• Install aerial cables and shades.
• Assist with loading/unloading of materials and finished goods.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Follow site safety procedures and wear PPE at all times.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Site Labourer to join the team at BL Welding and Fabrication. This is a full-time position based from Miles, QLD 4415 but will require weekly travel to sites all over Qld and northern NSW. In this role, you will provide essential support to our onsite install operations, ensuring that our sites run smoothly and efficiently. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople and contribute to the successful completion of projects from start to finish. This position is will be 10 days on 4 days off roster and be focused on the install of our shade sail systems but will also assist the shed crew when required.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing work areas, mark out /set out of footings
• pre assembly of ground components and preping for concrete.
• concreting of footings and piers
• Performing general site maintenance and housekeeping duties
• Standing of structual members and frames with machinery
• install arial cables and shades
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and finished products
• Reporting any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
• Following all site safety procedures and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
