Job summary

Pembroke Olive Downs in Queensland seeks an experienced Environmental Compliance Lead to ensure all activities, ours and contractors, meet the EA, PRCP, EPBC permits, and company standards. You will interpret regulations, lead monitoring programs, and support closure planning on a site with a 5/2 roster.

This role requires a degree in environmental science or ecology and 7+ years in environmental management, ideally in mining, with strong regulator engagement and EMS/ArcGIS experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental science, ecology or related field required.
• 7+ years' experience in environmental management, ideally in mining.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation including EA/PRCP obligations.
• Experience leading a team and influencing managers/contractors.
• Comfortable working with regulators and auditors; ISO 14001 knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with regulatory and company environmental requirements across the operation.
• Interpreting legislation, guidelines and approvals to direct site activities.
• Prepare, submit and ensure compliance of environmental statutory obligations.
• Support closure planning and mine rehabilitation per PRCP.
• Coordinate operations, maintenance and monitoring across Regulated Structures.
• Manage environmental monitoring programs to satisfy EA/PRCP/other approvals.
• Drive EMS implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead environmental investigations and partner with managers to close actions.
