Job summary

Fetch Recruitment is seeking a Site Engineer / Project Engineer in Queensland to oversee subdivision and TMR projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget by coordinating with project managers, design teams and contractors.

You will take an active role across all project phases, oversee planning and scheduling, manage safety, costs and quality, and maintain strong client relationships with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years as an Engineer in subdivisions and civil projects.
• Proven earthworks, roads, pavements, structures experience.
• Experience working with local councils and service authorities.
• Strong ability to manage client relationships and rapport with subcontractors.
• Solid background in contract management.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in all phases of project delivery from tender to handover.
• Manage safety, timelines, costs, and quality control on site.
• Oversee project planning and scheduling tasks.
• Coordinate and manage client relationships effectively.
• Monitor performance of construction teams and subcontractors.
• Report on production costs daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Handle procurement of plant, equipment, and materials.
• Issue PMPs, SWMs, and MSDSs, and ensure IMS compliance.

As an Engineer, you will oversee the successful delivery of subdivision and TMR projects, managing the technical aspects of a project, ensuring it's completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards, by coordinating with project managers, design teams, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Take an active role in all phases of project delivery, from tender handovers and project launches to site setups, risk management, construction staging, and procurement.
• Manage key project aspects including safety, timelines, costs, and quality control.
• Oversee project planning and scheduling tasks.
• Coordinate and manage client relationships effectively.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of construction teams and subcontractors against project estimates.
• Report on production costs daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Handle the procurement of plant, equipment, and materials.
• Issue Project Management Plans (PMPs), Safe Work Method Statements (SWMs), and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDs).
• Ensure project compliance with the Integrated Management System.
