Job summary

ACCIONA is recruiting a Commissioning Site Engineer (Process) to join the team delivering the Alkimos Seawater Desalination Plant in Perth, Western Australia. You will support commissioning, start-up, testing and readiness activities across desalination process systems, collaborating with mechanical, electrical and operations teams to ensure safe, compliant handover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, or Instrumentation & Control).
• Experience commissioning or operating water treatment or desalination plants.
• Ability to read and interpret PFDs, P&IDs and control philosophies.
• Working knowledge of SCADA or DCS control systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop working knowledge of assigned process systems and control logic.
• Support safe execution of commissioning activities to specification and procedure.
• Collaborate with operators and the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation teams.
• Conduct system walkdowns, punch listing and completion verification.
• Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, performance validation and operational readiness activities.

Construction is underway, with commissioning targeted for 2028.The RoleWe’re looking for a Commissioning Site Engineer (Process) to join the commissioning team, reporting to the Manager, Commissioning. You’ll support the commissioning, start-up, performance testing and initial operation of the plant’s desalination process systems, making sure equipment and plant operations meet design, safety and performance requirements.
