Zusammenfassung

ACCIONA is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our Australian defence project teams. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will support safe, efficient delivery of civil construction works on site.

You will own site-based engineering activities, review drawings, supervise works, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure compliance with HSE, quality and programme requirements. This role offers exposure to large-scale infrastructure with a focus on sustainability and safety.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Aufgaben

• Oversee and coordinate site activities to deliver safely and on schedule.
• Plan and execute construction works per approved drawings and specs.
• Deliver retaining wall structures with quality and design compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to meet programme.

About the Project

This role supports the delivery of critical Defence infrastructure as part of ACCIONA’s involvement in the Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) South Australia program. The project operates in a highly regulated Defence environment with strict quality, safety and compliance requirements, supporting Australia’s long‑term naval and Defence capability.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our project team. Reporting to the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of civil construction works. This role will see you take ownership of site-based engineering activities and contribute to achieving project objectives across safety, quality, cost, and programme.

Key accountabilities

• Oversee and coordinate site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project timelines
• Manage the planning and execution of construction works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and methodologies
• Take ownership of the delivery of retaining wall structures, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance with design requirements
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to achieve programme and productivity targets
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities
• Contribute to project controls, including progress tracking, cost management, and programme reporting
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including QA records, inspections, and as-built data

Required Skills and Competencies

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Experience working as a Site Engineer on civil infrastructure projects
• Sound understanding of construction methodologies and site controls
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, team-focused approach
