Golding is recruiting an experienced Training Advisor to drive high-quality training, build capability & ensure strong compliance at South Walker Creek Mine DIDO from the Mackay or Central Qld region.

Why this role?

This brand-new role offers an 8 / 6 roster close to Mackay, working in a hands‑on open‑cut mining environment as part of a small, down‑to‑earth team. We have secured a five‑year mining services agreement at South Walker Creek, giving you the chance to make a real impact through your training and safety leadership.

What you’ll do :
  • Lead and coordinate site training, inductions, and competency management.
  • Deliver training and coaching to lift capability across crews and trainer / assessors.
  • Ensure contractors and personnel meet all licensing, induction, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain training systems, records, Skills Matrix, and site Training Management Plans.
  • Support audits, investigations, and SHET meetings with expert advice and reporting.
  • Conduct field observations, provide visible safety leadership, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operations to schedule, deliver and improve training for critical mobile plant.
What you’ll bring :
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – required.
  • Hands‑on experience operating mining equipment is essential to effectively train and coach personnel.
  • A high-level of organisation & attention to detail.
  • Strong background in safety, training, and compliance within mining industry.
  • Confidence in delivering training, mentoring assessors, and managing induction programs.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
