Job summary

FlyFree Retractable Screens – Brendale QLD is seeking a Casual Sewing Machine operator to join our small, friendly team. The role involves cutting, measuring and sewing lightweight flyscreen material, with opportunities to work on related factory tasks.

You should have experience with sewing machines, be physically fit, able to read and transfer measurements accurately, and willing to learn our procedures. No weekend work; on-site parking available.

FlyFree Retractable Screens – Brendale QLD

FlyFree Retractable Insect Screens at Brendale is looking for a Casual Sewing Machine operator for 2-3 days a week or more hours can be negotiated for the right applicant. We make custom retractable flyscreens; our machinist needs to be comfortable operating a sewing machine. The job entails cutting, measuring, and sewing lightweight flyscreen material. Would suit someone with uniform making or embroidery experience.

Key responsibilities

Cutting and measuring lightweight flyscreen material

Occasionally assisting with loading new rolls of mesh

Helping in other areas of the factory, including cutting and assembly of aluminium components

About you

Experience with sewing machines

Willingness to learn our procedures, all training provided

Exceptional ability to accurately read, write and transfer measurements

Physically fit, as you will be required to occasionally assist loading new rolls of mesh

A clean and tidy worker who takes pride in their environment and work

Open to helping in other areas of the factory
