Linkfire is seeking a Fire Equipment Service Technician to join our Melbourne team. You’ll inspect, test and maintain portable fire equipment in line with AS1851, visiting a variety of client sites and delivering reliable service.

Experience is welcome but not essential; we provide full training, a company vehicle, and career growth within a supportive team.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Fire Equipment Service Technician to join our Melbourne team.

The Opportunity

This role focuses on the inspection, testing and maintenance of portable fire equipment in accordance with AS1851.

Experience is highly regarded — but not essential.

We are happy to train the right person who is motivated, reliable and eager to learn a trade.

This is a fantastic entry pathway into the fire protection industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working as part of our service team, your responsibilities will include:

• Servicing and testing fire extinguishers and fire blankets
• Inspecting fire hose reels and basic hydrant systems
• Completing routine essential services testing in line with AS1851
• Recording results and submitting compliance reports via our digital systems
• Providing great customer service while on client sites
• Working safely and following OH&S procedures

No two days are the same — you’ll be visiting a variety of buildings across Melbourne.

Requirements

• Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
• Australian working rights
• Good communication skills
• Experience in fire protection (advantage, not essential)
• Trade or technical background (advantage, not essential)
