Job summary

Protyre Autocare is seeking an enthusiastic Service Technician to join our growing team. You will provide servicing and repairs using the latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify issues.

A full UK driving licence and Level 3 automotive qualification are required, with training opportunities available. The role focuses on safe, high-quality work, tyre fitting, brake and exhaust replacements, and MOT repair support within a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Automotive industry.
• Experience with mechanical and fast fit repairs including tyre fitting, brakes, exhausts, suspension, servicing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, high-quality vehicle work.
• Perform fast fit tyre fitting and use alignment machine and readings.
• Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other components.
• Carry out MOT repairs and follow vehicle inspection procedures.
• Use diagnostic equipment for thorough testing and repairs.
• Advise customers on common issues and future repair needs.
• Work safely and comply with health and safety regulations.

As aVehicle Technicianyou are responsible for providing exceptional vehicle servicing and repairs by using latest diagnostic technology and techniques to identify vehicle issues.

Must have:

Full current UK Driving Licence is required for this role, held for at least 6 months (age restrictions may apply - points or offences may affect your application).

About the role:

Ensure the work completed on each vehicle is carried out safely and to a high standard

Completing fast fit tyre fitting whilst being able to use an alignment machine and understand the reading and relevant adjustments

Fitting brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension and other mechanical products

Carrying out MOT repairs

Adherence to company procedures of the vehicle inspection process

Use relevant diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, and repairs are thorough and to highest quality

Advise on other issues vehicles display, including common issues vehicles of certain makes and ages develop, and offers timelines for future vehicle repair needs

Working in a safe manner and always comply with health & safety regulations

About you:

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification related to the Automotive industry

Experienced with mechanical and fast fit repairs which may include tyre fitting, exhausts, brakes, suspension and general servicing repairs to a wide range of vehicles

The ability to work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced dynamic environment

Experience with diagnostic equipment

Full UK Driving Licence
