Job summary

Kanda is seeking a Service Coordinator for our Melbourne office to own rostering and workforce coordination for our Veterans and Aged Community Care team. You’ll ensure safe, consistent support flows to clients who rely on us, and you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment where getting it right makes a real difference in someone’s day.

Qualifications

  • Experience in rostering, scheduling or workforce coordination in community/aged/disability care.
  • Structured, detail‑oriented, and able to coordinate last minute changes within a team.
  • Clear, calm communication with field staff, clients, families and clinical leads.
  • Hold a current National Police Check.

Responsibilities

  • Own the roster end-to-end — shift allocation, last-minute changes, gaps and cancellations.
  • Schedule field staff to ensure safe, reliable coverage for every client, every shift.
  • Support field staff day-to-day so they have what they need to show up and do their best work.
  • Keep client records accurate and flag important issues to Clinical Team Leader.
  • Build genuine relationships with clients and families for a familiar trusted voice.

As a Service Coordinator with our Veterans and Aged Community Care team, you'll own the rostering and workforce coordination that keeps safe, consistent support flowing to the people who depend on it. It's fast-paced, it's complex, and when you get it right, the difference is felt in someone's home that same day.

What you'll be doing
  • Owning the roster end-to-end — shift allocation, last‑minute changes, gaps and cancellations — with speed, accuracy and composure
  • Scheduling field staff to ensure safe, reliable coverage for every client, every shift
  • Supporting field staff day‑to‑day so they have what they need to show up and do their best work
  • Keeping client records accurate and flagging anything important to the Clinical Team Leader before it becomes a problem
  • Building genuine relationships with clients and families so they hear a familiar, trusted voice when they call
You're the right person if...
  • You have experience in rostering, scheduling or workforce coordination — community care, aged care or disability is ideal
  • You thrive on structure and detail and can work within a team to coordinate last minute changes
  • You communicate clearly and calmly with people across every level — field staff, clients, families, clinical leads
  • You hold a current National Police Check
