Job summary

Queensland Corrective Services is seeking a candidate to contribute to Sentence Management Services in correctional facilities or designated hubs. You will engage with prisoners, prepare reports and manage administrative tasks related to detention and parole processes.

The role includes supervising small work units and coordinating service delivery to ensure compliance with timeframes, legislation and departmental policies.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the criminal justice system or a legislated work environment is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to meet demanding work deadlines with strong planning and organisation.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills to support service delivery with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to identify risks related to prisoner management.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including complex reports for multiple stakeholders.
• Experience supervising staff, setting priorities and monitoring workflow.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to day-to-day operations of Sentence Management Services in a correctional centre or hub.
• Engage with and assess prisoners, prepare reports and complete administrative tasks related to detention, court attendance and parole.
• Provide supervision and service delivery coordination for small work units to meet timeframes and policies.
