Job summary

Public Sector People in partnership with a Queensland State Government organisation is seeking a Principal Workforce Standards Advisor (AO7) to coordinate workforce standards, conduct and performance management across a large, complex environment in Brisbane.

This ASAP-start contract role focuses on developing frameworks, advising on conduct matters, and strengthening governance with senior stakeholders, while mentoring regional teams to build capability and positive workplace outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience within Human Resources, Employee Relations, Workplace Relations or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing complex workplace conduct, performance management, grievance or employee relations matters.
• Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and written communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level reports and recommendations.
• Qualifications and/or significant practical experience in HR, Employee Relations or Workplace Relations will be highly regarded.
• Ability to start immediately.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of workforce standards frameworks, policies, procedures and governance initiatives to support organisational objectives.
• Provide expert advice and support on complex employee conduct, performance and workplace relations matters, including oversight of grievance resolution processes.
• Undertake high-level research and analysis into emerging workplace conduct, integrity and employee relations issues to inform strategic decision making.
• Support and mentor regional workforce standards teams, fostering capability development, positive team culture and continuous improvement.
