Job summary

The Department of Children and Families in Darwin is seeking an Administrative Officer 7 to provide expert WHS advice and coordination across agencies. You will supervise the Work Health and Safety Officer and lead continuous improvement of WHS governance, compliance and culture.

This role sits within Risk, Audit and Work Health and Safety and involves delivering safe, compliant operations under shared service arrangements, reporting to the Manager Audit.

Location: Darwin

Primary Objective: Through a shared service arrangement, provide expert operational work health and safety advice, leadership and coordination to support the Department of Children and Families and the Department of People, Sport and Culture to meet legislative obligations, strengthen safety capability, and continuously improve WHS systems, governance, compliance and culture. Supervise and support the Work Health and Safety Officer to ensure the effective delivery of Work Health and Safety services across both departments.
