Job summary

Hutchins Bros Engineering in Narrandera, NSW is seeking an experienced Welder/Metal Fabricator to join the team. You will read blueprints, operate TIG and MIG welders, and ensure weld quality with vertical, horizontal and overhead positions.

The role requires welding various metals, fabricating parts, heat treating components, and finishing products with coatings or polishing. Team work is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Welding Fabrication) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three years' experience in this role or similar.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyse blueprints and drawings.
• Use TIG and MIG welders.
• Examine welds for width, penetration and precision.
• Welder vertically, horizontally and overhead.
• Weld various metals using various techniques.
• Fabricate parts or sub-assemblies by cutting, shaping and welding.
• Heat treat metal parts and components.
• Set up and operate welding equipment.
• Assemble parts by welding, bolting or riveting.
• Finish products by cleaning or applying coatings.
