1300 Apprentice in Turrella, Sydney NSW, is seeking a skilled 2nd Class Welder for immediate start. This full-time role offers overtime and a stable workshop environment, with ongoing production work fabricating roller drums and structural steel components from detailed drawings.

You will weld, cut, measure, and finish parts to exact specs, operate the overhead crane and pedestal drill, and support the flow of work through a fast-paced shop. Applicants based in Australia with rights encouraged.

Qualifications

• Welding certificate, first or second class.
• 3–5 years MIG welding experience.
• Accurate measurement of parts.
• Cut and prepare material with oxy-cutter and pedestal drill.
• Overhead crane operation as per site procedures.
• Move materials with a trolley.

Responsabilités

• Check hazards and prepare work area before tasks.
• Work safely and keep area clean and free of debris.
• Assess raw materials for faults before manufacture.
• Accurately measure all parts during manufacturing.
• Weld, cut, drill and finish parts to specification.
• Support smooth movement of components through production.
• Communicate with factory staff as parts move.
• Maintain and store tools safely.
