Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Senior Warehouse Coordinator to join our inventory & logistics team in Adelaide. You will coordinate inventory, logistics, receipt inspection and dispatch while assisting the warehouse team with day-to-day operations.

You will lead inventory auditing, support packaging and handling of equipment, operate material handling equipment, and contribute to ERP/MRP data input. A strong focus on safety, quality and supply chain principles is essential.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of inventory management and warehousing processes.
  • Experience with WHS&E practices in a warehouse context.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practice.
  • Good understanding of supply chain concepts.
  • Ability to schedule and plan own workload.
  • Proficient use of PCs and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead warehouse team with inventory management and auditing.
  • Coordinate inventory and logistics activities, including documentation.
  • Assist in manual handling and equipment safety operations.
  • Develop and maintain warehouse processes and tools.
  • Support processing of goods including receipt inspection and dispatch.
  • Assist packaging, handling, storage and transport of equipment.
  • Operate forklift and pallet jack; conduct equipment audits.
  • Contribute to ERP/MRP data input and ERP integrity.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and WHS&E control activities.
  • Prioritise tasks to optimise operational outcomes across the logistics chain.

Job description

The Senior Warehouse Coordinator will work as a part of Saab Australia’s inventory & logistics team and will be specifically responsible for coordinating inventory and logistics activities.

Further, this role assists the warehouse team with other operational day-to-day tasks and activities such as coordination of Hardware (HW) items and packaging, handling, storage, and transport of all tangible items under Saab’s control.

Further, the successful candidate will:

  • Lead the warehouse team with inventory management and auditing.
  • Undertake inventory & logistics activities including document control.
  • Undertake manual handling activities and understand manual handling principles.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of the company warehouse management processes and tools.
  • Assist processing of goods in accordance with company processes including receipt inspection and dispatch.
  • Support technical teams in the packaging, handling, storage and transport of equipment.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklift and pallet jack.
  • Undertake accurate manual handling equipment auditing.
  • Contribute to the data input of the company ERP/MRP database.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Support WHS&E Control activities - Compliance, Audits, Writing Work Instructions, Training.
  • Understand the principles of prioritising tasks to optimise operational outcomes.
  • Understand the principles of logistics chain of responsibility.
About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Extensive understanding of the use of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of Work, Health, Safety & Environment (WHS&E) practices.
  • Good understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • The correct use and care of general-purpose manual handling equipment.
  • Good understanding of inventory management.
  • Problem solving appropriate to the role.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Good understanding of supply chain principles.
  • Scheduling and planning of own work.
  • Proficient in the use of PCs and relevant software applications (MS Office Suite, etc.)

Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to baseline/NV1/NV2 level. Information including past and present nationality and citizenship may be requested to check eligibility for access to materials controlled under various export control regimes, including ITAR.
