Job summary

seek.com.au is seeking an experienced Warehouse Assistant/Storeman to support daily warehouse operations in Sydney. The role focuses on preparing orders, receiving stock, maintaining safety and organisation.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years warehousing experience, familiarity with modern warehousing practices, strong leadership and communication skills, and forklift experience (counterbalance and high reach).

Qualifications

• Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
• Excellent leadership and organisational skills and time management.
• Excellent communication - in person, email, phone.
• Be able to motivate staff and provide a positive attitude.
• Understand and demonstrate the importance of WHS.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (pick, pack, wrap, label, load, ship).
• Receive and process warehouse stock products (unload, check, label, inventory, store).
• Keep a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate and cooperate with Warehouse Manager.
• Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment.
• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations.
• To carry out all activities in a manner that promotes safety to yourself and your colleagues.
• Ensure all business and individual key performance indicators are met.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
