Job summary

NSW Health invites applications from suitably qualified medical practitioners for the Visiting Medical Officer position in Anaesthesia and Pain Management at Gosford Hospital and Wyong Hospitals.

Fellows of FANZCA or equivalent qualifications are expected; applicants must be eligible for NSW registration and may commence once fellowships are completed. Salary conditions follow the Visiting Medical Officer Determination, with salary packaging available.

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) and/or other recognised specialist qualifications.
• Eligible for registration in New South Wales.
• Applicants may be considered if fellowships are awarded within six months; appointment starts after qualifications are completed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage anaesthesia and pain management services.
• Supervise medical trainees, residents and students; contribute to teaching.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to achieve department goals.
• Pursue quality improvement initiatives within the department.
• Adhere to NSW CORE Values and hospital policies.
