St Aloysius’ College in Sydney seeks a passionate Visual Arts Teacher to join our dynamic Visual Arts and Technology Department. This full-time role, commencing Term I, 2027, offers a collaborative, Jesuit-inspired environment with a focus on inquiry-based learning and contemporary pedagogy.

Qualifications

• Possess relevant secondary teaching qualifications, specifically in Visual Arts and eligibility to teach under the requirements of NESA and College policy.
• Experience and demonstrated capacity to teach Visual Arts across all Year groups.
• Ability to design, implement and evaluate curriculum collaboratively in accordance with College and NESA syllabus guidelines and outcomes.
• Proven ability to ensure teaching and learning activities reflect contemporary pedagogy, including an inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning and differentiation strategies.
• Understanding of, and ability to use data to analyse, report on and manage student progress, and to report to parents in a variety of ways that keep them regularly and fully informed of their children’s progress.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding principles.
• Possess a valid Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning experiences that inspire students to develop their creative, critical and technical skills.
• Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom culture where students investigate ideas, experiment with different artistic approaches, and develop their own creative expression.
• Collaborate within a creative and supportive faculty to contribute to curriculum development and inquiry-based learning.
• Support the academic, social and emotional growth of students.
• Commence Term I, 2027 on a full-time ongoing basis.
