As a Senior Valuer, you will play an important role in delivering land valuation services in South East Queensland. We are looking for an experienced Valuer to deliver statutory land valuations, lead a small team, resolve complex valuation matters and provide expert advice to clients and stakeholders.

You will have an opportunity to develop skills across a diverse range of property assets, including residential, commercial, industrial precincts, retail, large scale mixed-use developments, small scale rural and inner-city properties, reflecting the complexity and scale of the Southeast Queensland (SEQ) property market.

Working within the State Valuation Service, our Senior Valuers deliver expert land valuation services that support the Valuer-General's responsibilities across Queensland. This role combines technical valuation expertise with leadership, helping ensure high-quality valuation outcomes.

In this role you will lead a small team, undertake complex valuation work, resolve statutory valuation grievances and provide expert advice on land valuation matters. You will also manage stakeholder and client relationships, contribute to new valuation initiatives and represent the department in complex valuation matters, including Land Court proceedings where required.

We are looking for a professional valuer with strong communication and analytical skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and consistency of service delivery.

This role requires a degree qualification in land valuation services or an agreed equivalent, as well as registration as a Valuer with the Valuer's Registration Board of Queensland. A current C class driver's licence is also essential as travel may be required.
