Job summary

Riot Games in Sydney is seeking a Senior UX Designer to own the design of significant player-facing features for an unpublished R&D product. You will collaborate with designers, engineers, artists and producers to translate player needs into intuitive experiences across discovery, strategy, and implementation.

The role covers end-to-end design, establishing UX direction, and contributing to design systems while partnering with cross-disciplinary teams to ship cohesive player experiences.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of UX, interaction, or product design experience in digital products or games.
• Experience owning end-to-end design for complex features with cross-functional teams.
• Strong interaction and interface design, proficient in Figma for systems, prototyping and presentation.
• Ability to navigate ambiguous problems and influence multi-disciplinary partners.
• Portfolio demonstrating player-centered design and shipped or implemented work.

Responsibilities

• Own UX design for significant player-facing features from discovery to iteration.
• Lead exploration of UX opportunities, clarifying player problems and goals.
• Define UX direction with strategy, research outcomes, and journey maps.
• Translate complex ideas into intuitive interfaces aligned with player needs.
• Establish UX patterns and contribute to design systems across game experiences.
• Collaborate with engineering and UI teams during implementation to support prototypes.
• Facilitate design reviews and communicate decisions across teams.
• Partner with research, playtests, and analytics to improve player experience.
• Consider multi-platform needs and contribute to broader experience strategy.
• Raise UX maturity by sharing knowledge and mentoring designers.
