Endeavour Group is seeking a Senior UX Designer / Design Technologist to bridge design and front-end engineering. You will evolve a multi-brand design system across web and native mobile, using AI-assisted workflows to prototype and validate interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or design technology in digital environments.
• Strong systems thinking and human-centred design principles.
• Practical knowledge of front-end tech (React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui) with Git.
• Experience creating and scaling multi-brand component libraries and design tokens.
• Exposure to cross-platform design systems across web and React Native.
• Emerging fluency with agentic AI coding tools and MCP workflows.
• Excellent stakeholder workshop facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to learn and adapt even if not all tools are present.

Responsabilités

• Hybrid work arrangement with Barangaroo office: 3 days on site, 2 days remote.

Senior UX Designer / Design Technologist

• Multi-Brand Design Leadership: Direct the evolution of our enterprise design system, delivering distinct yet unified digital experiences for two of Australia’s most loved retail brands, BWS and Dan Murphy's.
• Emerging Tech Innovation: Pioneer code-first workflows using agentic AI coding tools and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to streamline tooling, reduce manual effort, and accelerate UI exploration.
• Hybrid ways of working - Barangaroo office location - 3 days on site, 2 days remote

As a Senior UX Designer / Design Technologist within our Customer, Digital and Data team, you will bridge the gap between user experience craft and front-end software engineering. A designer by background, you’re excited to move beyond static canvases to polish design directly in code with AI tools. In this role, you will join a nimble, collaborative design team driving a major enterprise transformation, evolving our multi-brand design system architecture across responsive web and native mobile applications. Operating with an experimental and inquisitive mindset, you will help pioneer modern agentic AI workflows, test rapid prototypes, and establish benchmark practices for how design and engineering collaborate.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:

• Design System Architecture: Own and evolve our multi-brand design system architecture across web and native mobile apps (React Native), balancing consistency with brand differentiation.
• Design Token Management: Architect and maintain a scalable design token hierarchy that enforces clean code separation, accessibility compliance, and multi-brand scaling.
• Production Component Craft: Build intuitive, WCAG-compliant UI components using modern libraries such as Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui, establishing code as the primary source of truth.
• Interactive Code Prototyping: Translate user needs into functional code prototypes and sandbox proofs-of-concept using AI-assisted tools to validate complex interaction models early.
• Collaborative Engineering Integration: Partner directly with front-end engineers through Git pull requests, code reviews, and shared tooling to maintain component quality and system alignment.
• Facilitating Stakeholder Alignment: Lead interactive workshops with Product Managers, Engineers, Delivery Leads, and external partners to unpack component needs and resolve technical constraints.

Qualifications

• Design Experience: You bring 5+ years of experience in product design, UX design, or design technology within modern digital environments, ideally in large-scale retail eCommerce.
• Design Background: You’re a designer at heart who applies strong systems thinking, human-centred design principles, and high visual standards.
• Modern Code Capability: You demonstrate practical, working knowledge of front-end technologies (React, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui) alongside Git version control and pull request workflows.
• Design Systems Expertise: You have proven experience creating, maintaining, and scaling multi-brand component libraries and design token structures in code.
• Mobile Platform Knowledge: You bring exposure to or a keen interest in cross-platform design systems spanning responsive web and native mobile (React Native).
• Emerging AI Fluency: You have explored in depth or adopted agentic AI coding tools and MCP workflows to accelerate prototyping and modernise design technology practices.
• Stakeholder Workshop Facilitation: You articulate technical and design concepts clearly, building strong cross-functional relationships with product, delivery, and engineering peers.
• Continuous Learning Mindset: You are excited by the evolving nature of design technology; even if you do not tick every single box (such as AEM or Salesforce Commerce Cloud experience), we encourage you to apply.
