Job summary

Urbis is seeking a Senior Consultant for our Gold Coast office to lead and contribute to high-impact land use planning and policy projects for private and public sector clients. You will apply statutory planning knowledge and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes.

You will guide project delivery, support growth strategies, and mentor junior staff while maintaining strong client engagement and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Holds tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Town Planning or a related discipline.
• Ideally minimum 5 years' experience within an urban planning firm based environment.
• Strong knowledge of strategic and statutory planning and related legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to the preparation of land use planning applications and related designations.
• Provide high-quality planning analysis and advice informed by current government policies, priorities, market trends, and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including economists, urban design, transport and engagement specialists.
• Prepare and review reports, presentations and public-facing documents that communicate complex planning concepts clearly.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard of quality.
• Coach and develop team members where appropriate.
