Job summary

Liberty in Asia Pacific is seeking aSenior Underwriter to contribute to growth and profitability in its Western Australia Casualty business. You will work independently on complex risks, combining hands-on underwriting with strategic broker relationship management, delivering results with autonomy.

The role requires strong technical underwriting knowledge, strategic thinking, and a track record of building robust broker partnerships to support market-leading solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in General (non-Life) Insurance.
• Experience working with brokers or insurance companies.
• Strong technical underwriting skills and strategic thinking.
• Proven ability to mentor colleagues and drive profitable portfolio growth.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to market Liberty products.
• Underwrite target new and renewal business in line with pricing guidelines.
• Execute selling and negotiation strategies to grow profitability of the product line(s).
• Deliver high quality service to brokers/clients and coordinate with other underwriters for cross-selling.
• Mentor and train less experienced staff in relevant product line(s).
