AMC Consultants (AMC) is seeking a Principal Mining Engineer to join the Underground team across Australian offices (Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth). You will deliver high-quality underground solutions, manage projects, and develop client relationships in a collaborative, value-driven environment.

The role requires 15+ years’ underground mining experience, strong technical delivery, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while upholding AMC’s standards and ethics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering (required).
• 15+ years’ underground mining experience with strong technical and practical focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; client-facing experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Contribute strong technical expertise across underground mining methods and environments.
• Provide consulting support and practical engineering solutions.
• Project manage assignments across disciplines when necessary.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver high-quality reports, presentations and project documentation.
