Job summary

Veris is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to lead tunnel survey activities on the mined tunnel works of the SRL Melbourne Project. You will manage tunnel set-out, alignment and control, and ensure accurate documentation of surveys across night shifts.

The role requires a Diploma in Surveying, experience with Leica equipment and multiple guidance systems, and strong problem-solving skills to support production under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Surveying required.
• Experience with Leica measurement equipment and digital levelling.
• Understanding tunnel traversing, alignment and horizontal/vertical offsets.
• Experience installing tunnel brackets and using VMT or Pyxis guidance systems.
• Experience with Captivate Tunnel, TMS, Amberg or 12d Tunnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Available for night shifts and rostered Saturday network maintenance.
• Current Australian driver’s licence.

The Opportunity

Veris is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to lead tunnel survey activities on the mined tunnel works of the SRL Melbourne Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Roadheader guidance using VMT or Pyxis.
• Tunnel set-out, excavation and shotcrete profiling.
• Tunnel survey control, traversing and digital levelling.
• Survey documentation and proactive production support.

About You

You will need to be able to demonstrate experience in the below points.

• Diploma in Surveying and civil infrastructure/tunnelling experience.
• Experience with Leica measurement equipment and digital levelling.
• Understanding of tunnel traversing, alignment and horizontal/vertical offsets.
• Experience installing tunnel brackets and using VMT or Pyxis guidance systems.
• Experience with Captivate Tunnel, TMS, Amberg or 12d Tunnel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Available for night shifts and rostered Saturday network maintenance.
• Current Australian driver's licence.

Not essential but desirable.

• CP excavation and structural set-out experience.
• TBM launch set-out experience, particularly TBM 3 and 4.
• STAR*NET processing experience.
• Ability to anticipate production needs and troubleshoot guidance systems to minimise downtime.
