Job summary

Metcash Group, a leading Australian retail and wholesaling business, seeks a Senior Treasury Risk Analyst to lead liquidity, funding and risk analysis. You will manage cash flow forecasting, FX and interest rate exposures, hedging, and treasury systems within the Finance team based in Macquarie Park.

You’ll partner with stakeholders to strengthen reporting, governance and controls, and to drive strategic treasury initiatives that support Metcash’s growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in corporate treasury, treasury risk management or financial markets in a large ASX-listed organisation or financial institution.
• Proven cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, working capital analysis and funding management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing FX and interest rate exposures.
• Practical knowledge of FX spot/forward, swaps and cross-currency swaps.
• Experience executing and monitoring derivative hedging transactions.
• Experience with derivative valuations, mark-to-market reporting and treasury risk analysis.
• Knowledge of hedge accounting under IFRS 9/AASB 9 and treasury systems.
• Experience with banking partners and market counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance short, medium and long-term cash flow forecasting models.
• Monitor daily liquidity, cash positions, facilities and surplus funds.
• Analyse forecast variances and collaborate with stakeholders to improve forecasts.
• Assess liquidity risk, debt maturity profiles and cash flow stress scenarios.
• Support hedging strategies and monitor hedge effectiveness.
• Execute and monitor foreign exchange, money market and interest rate transactions.
• Provide reporting across liquidity, FX, interest rate and market risk.
• Assist with audit, treasury accounting and month-end reconciliations.
