GHD is seeking a Lead Transmission Lines Engineer for the Victoria & Tasmania region. The role focuses on combining technical design with strong client relationships, pursuing opportunities, and positioning GHD as a trusted adviser in the energy transition.

The role is based in Melbourne or Hobart, with flexibility on location. You will lead the planning, design and delivery of overhead transmission line projects up to 500kV, provide technical oversight, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, civil, structural or transmission-related engineering discipline preferred, with at least 12 years of experience.
• RPEV or equivalent registration, or the ability to obtain RPEV.
• Hands-on leadership of multidisciplinary transmission delivery, including detailed design interfaces.
• Renewables, substation, network augmentation and/or BESS experience is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Identify opportunities early, support pursuits and grow GHD's transmission business through client engagement and market presence.
• Establish and strengthen trusted client relationships while leading the win work process.
• Bring together capabilities from across GHD to develop client-focused solutions for future programs.
• Lead planning, design, and delivery of overhead transmission line projects (up to 500kV).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
