Job summary

Bielby is seeking an accomplished Traffic Manager to lead the traffic management strategy for a major $400M regional road restoration project in NSW. Initially based in Sydney before mobilising to site, this role offers ownership of TMPs, TGS and the delivery of safe, efficient traffic across regional networks.

You will work closely with Transport for NSW, clients, local councils and emergency services to minimise disruption, oversee road occupancy approvals and stakeholder coordination, and

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading traffic management across major road projects.
• Strong knowledge of TfNSW requirements and Austroads guidelines.
• Proven ability to develop and implement complex traffic staging strategies.
• Demonstrated success managing stakeholder relationships with government and clients.
• Experience with temporary traffic management and road occupancy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and management of project-wide traffic management strategies.
• Oversee TMP and TGS design, review and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with TfNSW requirements and Austroads guidelines.
• Manage traffic staging, road occupancy approvals and stakeholder coordination.
• Collaborate with delivery teams to manage traffic impacts during construction.
• Liaise with clients, councils, emergency services and regulators.
• Lead traffic risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Monitor traffic performance and identify safety and delivery improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to traffic staff.
• Support future tenders with traffic management input.
