Job summary

The NSW Government is seeking a Senior Test Manager to lead client-side test strategy, governance, and QA for a major cloud transformation program replacing legacy systems.

You will oversee end-to-end testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, integrations, and data migration, and manage vendor testing and defect triage to ensure release readiness.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Senior test management and governance experience, preferably in government or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Platform, and Dataverse.

Responsibilities

• Own the test strategy for SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and release readiness across Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Govern vendor test execution, manage defect triage, and provide go/no-go release readiness evidence.
• Collaborate with solution architects, delivery vendors, and business SMEs to ensure seamless business process acceptance.
• Utilise Azure DevOps Test Plans to drive test traceability and quality gate reporting.

The role:

You will lead client-side test strategy, governance, and quality assurance for a major cloud transformation program replacing legacy systems. Oversee end-to-end testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse, integrations, and data migration.

What you will be doing:

• Own the test strategy covering SIT, UAT, regression, performance, and release readiness across Microsoft Dynamics 365
• Govern vendor test execution, manage defect triage, and provide evidence-based go/no-go release readiness assessments.
• Collaborate with solution architects, delivery vendors, and business SMEs to ensure seamless business process acceptance.
• Utilise Azure DevOps Test Plans to drive test traceability, execution dashboards, and quality gate reporting.

Desirable Skills:

• 10+ years experience in software testing, experience in senior test management and governance roles working within government or regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience leading testing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service, Power Platform, and Dataverse.
• Background in API integration testing, legacy system migration validation, and writing SQL queries.
