Job summary

Westpac seeks a Senior Lawyer to join the Technology Legal team. You will partner with the team managing technology assets, supplier relationships and technology contracts, handling complex tech matters, digital and AI initiatives.

You will influence decisions in a fast-paced environment, provide practical legal guidance and support a proactive risk strategy across a large organisation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PQE advising on complex technology, digital and AI matters.
• Strong capability across technology contracting, negotiation and risk management.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate a complex organisation.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing, drafting, and leading negotiations on technology contracts and transactions.
• Identifying and resolving legal issues and briefing stakeholders on key matters and status of negotiations.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support our legal and risk strategy, including compliance with laws and internal policies.
