Job summary

Bupaoptical Melbourne invites an experienced Technical Lead- API to drive design and delivery of critical web services. Based in Melbourne, you will lead a development team, guide API strategy, ensure best practices, and partner with business representatives to meet customer outcomes.

You will mentor developers across .NET technologies, champion automated testing, DevOps, and cloud deployment in Azure, while balancing delivery speed with quality in a dynamic healthcare tech environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in a Developer role or equivalent in .NET with C#, ASP.NET MVC and Web API.
• Extensive experience leading teams of 4–10 developers to deliver high quality outcomes.
• Demonstrable expert competence with development and automated testing tools in .NET, including Web Services, .NET Core, and WCF.
• Experience with SQL databases; NoSQL databases advantageous.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and DevOps processes for cloud deployment.
• Experience in API integration development and multi-tier MVC architectures.
• Code versioning with Git and TFS.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development team and guide application design across Bupa's legacy products.
• Ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables at pace to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with business reps to drive strategic outcomes and customer value.
• Mentor developers and promote automated testing and DevOps practices.
