This is a boutique, well established accounting and advisory practice in West Perth looking for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join its team.
The role is a senior client-facing role suited to someone with around 5+ years of Australian public practice experience who enjoys a mix of review, tax planning and client work. You will look after a portfolio of business and private clients, work closely with the directors on more complex matters, and help support and develop our accountants.
If you are currently a Tax Manager or Senior Manager and would like to work more closely with your clients and the directors, this role is for you.
The firm works with privately owned businesses, business owners, professionals, investors and family groups. Many of its clients have been with the firm for a long time and they place a lot of value on those relationships and on giving practical, commercial advice.
Its work covers business and individual tax compliance, tax planning and advisory, business structuring, SMSFs and corporate compliance. Much of it involves trusts and companies, Division 7A, CGT and the small business concessions, along with business acquisitions and sales from time to time.
As a smaller practice, they work as one team. Senior staff work alongside the directors and have visibility across the whole practice.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of established business and private clients, overseeing the delivery of work from planning through to completion. Review of financial statements and tax returns remains a core part of the role alongside tax planning and advice on structuring and other complex matters.
You will be a key point of contact for your clients and will work closely with the directors. The role also involves supervising and mentoring accountants, managing workflow across your portfolio, and contributing to how the practice refines its systems and processes.
