Job summary

Pitcher Partners Sydney is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join our Tax Advisory Group. This role offers exposure to complex tax matters across large private groups, funds, and listed entities, with close collaboration with Partners and Directors.

You will develop advisory and compliance skills, mentor junior staff, and contribute to process improvements while delivering practical, commercially-focused tax solutions for diverse clients. This is an on-site role in Sydney CBD.

Qualifications

• Australian tax experience within a Big 4, mid-tier or professional services firm.
• Strong knowledge of income tax compliance and tax accounting.
• Experience mentoring or reviewing junior team members.
• Interest in advisory, transaction and consulting work.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex tax compliance engagements across income tax, IAS and FBT.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance.
• Assist with tax advice on restructures, international tax and managed funds.
• Support due diligence and strategic tax projects with Partners and Directors.
• Build trusted client relationships and deliver commercially-focused solutions.
• Collaborate on advisory engagements and client initiatives.
• Maintain quality and risk management across engagements.
• Drive process improvements through technology and automation.
• Contribute to growth and development of the team.
